The number of shareholders .on Dominion register to whom dividend will be paid is 1215. The amount of dividend payable to shareholders on the Dominion register is £21,707 14/. The capital of the campany is £345,000, divided into 345,000 shares of £1 each, fully paid. WAIHI BIG REEFS. (By Telegraph.Own Correspondent) WAIHI, this day. Plans and reports, etc-, in connection with Big Reef claim, Waihi, have been sent, to London, and an effort _ being made to raise sufficient capital to test this enormous body of ore to a depth of •■ 500 feet. This property consists of 04 acres, situated on -the eastern boundary of the Waihi Company's area. A very large reef _ oat-cropping on the claim, and is fully 100 feet in width. Assays taken from the surface to a depth of 25 feet range from 1/6 to 21/6 per ton, and the values appear to improve with depth. The course of the reef is a point east of north and the Waahi Gladstone mine adjoining should also intersect this reef in the course of its operations. Mr. E. J. Dunn, the Victorian Government geologist, when visiting the district, spoke highly of this part of the Waihi goldfield, which lies south-east and east of the Martha Hill. NEW SUCCESS. A meeting of Shareholders In the New Success Gold Mining Company, was called ,for yesterday afternoon at Mr. C. A. -StuS>bs' [ office. The directors reported that the appearances of the mine at the present time are of a satisfactory nature. Mr. B. H. I Harrison, supervisor, visited the mine j monthly, aud cot-suited with the manager ias to tbe work in progress. The retiring I directors were Messrs. W. S. Whitley and J. H. Dalton. The statement of accounts showed receipts £303 14/4, and the expenditure left a credit balance of £59 8/4. Mr. H. It. Webster (chairman), In moving the adoption of the report and balancesheet, said both the manager and supervisor were well pleased with the appearance of the country in the mine. It was anticipated that they would be on gold before long. ■The ' report and balance-sheet were adopted, and the retiring directors and auditor were re-elected unopposed. MOUNTAIN KING. The manager reports that the present show of gold Is without exception a splendid one. Eleven feet of the lode, varying in width from 8 inches to 15 inches, have been broken down, and gold is plainly visible throughout tho w(holp. Gold is still left showing aU along the roof and floor of the level, as well as np and down each face. There has not been any picked stone so 1_- obtaining 'but istone lo,__ pood enough for same at any moment. The furthest north stope, -40ft below Intermediate level, Is also looking remarkably well. I and giving out excellent ore. An assay ] from lowest level gave £23 10/8, after picking out of same every stone showing gold.
