FATAL ACCIDENT.
DRAGGED BY A HORSE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, Friday. An accident attended with fatal results occurred to a well-known resident of Clive, named James, Burt, on Thursday. It appears that he went into a paddock to catch a horse which was rather difficult to deal with. He got a rope round the horse's nock, when it made a plunge, and Burt somehow became entangled in the rope, and was dragged round the paddock at a furious pace. When rescued Burt was unconscious, and was removed to the Napier Hospital, where he died to-day.
