THEN AN OMINOUS SILENCE. A STEAMER ON THE ROCKS. PASSENGERS' FATE UNCERTAIN. (Eeceived 8 a.m.) VANCOUVER, December 1. The steamer Tees, with many passengers aboard, struck a rock off the coast. A wireless message summoning aid was received and then silence followed. Tugs have been dispatched to the rescue. HEAVY STORM RAGING. TUGS CANNOT APPROACH. (Received 11.50 a.m.) VANCOUVER, December !. The tugs dispatched to aid the steamer Tees are unable to entoi the land-locked bay in which she He 3 owing to the storm. The wireless apparatus aboard the Tees is broken, and the fate of the passengers is unknown.
