Prince George Yourievsty who, wbeu sued , by a dressmaker for £1300 for dresses supplied to the princess, claimed that he was 1 not liable by Russian law, as his wife had i a separate estate. The court, however, ] held that as the bill did not seem excessive having regard to the defendant's fortune, < and as dresses were a necessity, the Prince , would have to pay the £1300. j i
