With regard to the reported reverses of tbe revolutionaries at Hanyang, Wuchow, and Hankow, it is explained that they were victorious in the fighting sit Hankow until November 25, when the Hunanese revolutionaries , refused to attack. Later on 5000 Hupeh recruits became insubordinate, and, when ordered to attack, shot their officers.
