TAUPO RAILWAY PROPOSAL
(TCy Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Tn the House this afternoon Mr. McDonald asked that the petition of the Taupo Totara Timber Company respecting the proposed extension of the Company's railway and the pvrehase of a 1 argo area, of native land should he referred to a. special committee comprising Messrs. Mander, Eraser, Guthrie, Newman, Orcenslade, Reed, Myers, Witty Forbes and the mover. It is proposed that the committee should investigate the company's request, and take any necessary evidence requited.
