SWEPT BY FIRE.
GRASS AND FLAX DESTROYED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. A fire at Waikanae on Sunday swept 2000 acres belonging to Messrs. Brown, Field, Campion and Hadfield, grass and flax lands being in places left bare. Great damage was done, Mr. Brown being the heaviest sufferer.
