At the request of a deputation of workers. Mr John Payne (late commercial instructor at the Technical College) has decided to offer himself as a candidate for the Grey Lynn electorate. Mr Payne will stand as an Independent Labour candidate. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this clay. At a meeting of the Dunedin branch of the New Zealand Labour party tonight, the following candidates were selected to con-test seats at tne general election:—Dunecfin North, A R. Barclay; Dunedin South, J. E. Macmanus; Port Chalmers, A. McCarthy. WANGANUI, this day. Mr. T. Hogan, M.P. for Wanganui, announces that ho intends to seek re-elec-tion against all comers. OHINEMURI. Mr. P. H. Hickey, of Wellington, is announced as the Labour Federation candidate for Ohinemu-ri at the general election. GISBORNE AND BAY OF PLENTY. GISBORNE, this day.
