(By Telep-aph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. The rainfall for the last month totalled 3.03 inches, distributed over twenty days. The heaviest fall was L 32 inches on ICth iiwt. The borough by-election resulted: Trißtram 294, AuH 169, Luxford 159, Bryant 36. A meeting of the Mutual Sports Association instructed members of the 1 sports advisory body on the Domain ' Board to request the Domain Board to 1 oppose the Hamilton Domain Bill, now ! before Parliament, as it is of opinion that the whole town belt will be re- • quired for recreation purposes.
