BISHOP OF SALISBURY DEAD.

(Received 2.10 p.m.) LONDON, August 16. The death occurred to-day of the Rt. Rev. Dr. Wordsworth, Bishop of Salisbury. Dr. Wordsworth was born in 1843, and was the eldest son of the Bishop of Lincoln. He was ordained in 1867, and held several university professorships before being appointed to the See of Salisbury in 1885. He was elected a Fellow of the British Academy in 1004.
