Successfully Treated By Dr. J. A. Sherman's Method. A MARVELLOUS CASE. Suffered from Rupture for SO Years. CURED BY DR. J. A. SHERMAN'S METHOD. SWORN EVIDENCE before His Honor Judge Murray, in the District Court, Sydney, of John Brooker, Fanner and Qrazrer, Singleton, New South Wales: lam 62 ye»rg of age; got a rapture when a hoy, atd have been raptured! for 50 years. I always wore a truss, but the rapture was never retained. I consulted Dr. Poutland at Singleton 5 years ago, and he sent me to a trussmaker in Newcastle, from whom I got a trass, bnt could not wear it, as it would not support the rupture, which got worse, coming down so large that ii filled the scrotum. Many a time I had to lie down tc get it back, and wiulst doing so experienced great pain. It was mast difficult at times to get it back at all, and on one occasion the pain was so great that I was campellod to have hot fomentations to ease the pain. In Jane, 1906, I saw one of Mr. Martin's advertisements, and the nest morning rode 25 miles tq see him at Singleton. He examined me and) said he could relieve me if I took the Sherman treatment, but did not guarantee to cure. I told him I doubted that I could be cured, but said: "If you can relieve me I shall bo satisfied, as life is. not worth living as lam at present." After he fitted me I felt comfortable, the rapture was retained, and I could run about and do all manner of work without inconvenience. The Sherman appliance has of work, and the rupture ha* never shown. I considei I am cured and frequently go without the appliance when not working; bat, as an extra precaution, I always wear it while working. I have seen no sign of the rupture, and consider that the orifice is dosed. I never had euch treatment before, and am certain it saved niv Id willingly pay £SO for the treatment, i in my tune, but not one equal to the Sherman appliance. Dr. Steer Bowfcer, Surgeon, Macquarrie-street, duly sworn, said: "I have examined Mr. John Brooke of Singleton, who stated that he had suffered from Rupture for 50 years, and I cannot find any presence of' the rupture now." The success of the Dr. Sherman treatment cannot be questioned l , for Mr. A. W. Martin, the Sole Controller of the Dr. J. A. Sherman Treatment for Australasia, has the SWORN TESTIMONY OP MANY WITNESSES BEFORE A DISTRICT COURT JUDGE. He has also the SWORN EVIDENCE OF ONE OF THE LEADING SURGEONS OF SYDNEY, who examined patients and could not find the presence of rupture in cases of 3 14 26, and 50 years' standing. ' ' This is an extract from the sworn evidence, before His Honor Judge Murray, of Mrs. Bird at the District Court, Sydney:— " I have been ruptured 17 years. Consulted Dr. Pickburn, who advised a truss and fitted it. At times it would not retain the rupture, and was very uncomfortable. Later I consulted Dr. Langston. He made me a belt, whoch caused me great pain, and I could not woai it after five or six days. Consulted Mr. A. W Martin about five years ago. He examined me and said he could cure me in six months. He gave ine an appliance and a bottle of lotion. From the time I put the appliance on—loth April—till I took it off 10th October—l never suffered any pain, and the rupture never troubled me again. At the end of six months when I took the band off, I had gained two stone in weight. I have had no recurrence or Bign of the rupture."' Mr. Martin is a Rupture Specialist. He adapts the treatment to suit each case, and to this is attributed the success of the Sherman Method. MR. MARTIN IS NOW IN AUCKLAND, AND MAT BE CONSULTED AT THE ROYAL Trrvnrr UNTIL WEDNESDAY, 16nMot later than 5 p.™- «• *»»* ****■ ttWUO.
