INDUSTRIAL HALL FOR ALL INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATIONS.
fTo the Editor.) Sir, —I have been advocating for some time the establishing of a general Industrial Hall for the whole body of Industrial Associations, and the replies I have received is, “Oh, yes, all right, pro- j videfl it is situated either in Dunedin, Christchurch, or Auckland,” 1 cannot see how this could possibly work well. Sly opinion is to have it in Wellington as the most central situation. All the Industrial Associations have been struggling for some years past, and X don’t know one that is really progressing as it should .do from the great energies displayed by the various bodies. In Wellington a large hall could be erected, and each of the cities could have a section worked (if found practicable) under its own directions. I mention Wellington because a good Industrial Parliament could be formed to bring under the notice of members of Parliament, when in session, what is required to be done, and thus a good opportunity would be afforded of gaining consent to any point that it is thought desirable to carry.—l am, etc.’, CHAS. CALLIS.
