(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Walter Nichollo, a seller of books and magazines on the Christchurch-Dunedin express, re'entry offered indecent post cards for snle to a constable in plain clothes. He appeared before Mr. Bishop, S.M., to-day in consequence. The statement of the pplice was that Nicholls. when asked why he ran the risk of selling such cards, said he knew his business. If lie got caught he supposed Mr. Bishop would give him hell. The Magistrate observed that he didn't know what NichoHs would get in the future world, but he would "get it" in this world. Accused pleaded guilty, and was sen? tenced to a month's hard labour.
