The examination was unto the auspices of the Royal SaniUrTl" stitute, London, and tested candidal in their knowledge of ranttary science « applied to buildings and public worU Six candidates presented themselves ami to-day the Public Health Office received intimation that four of the candidate! had passed the examination. Thev are, Thos. Courtney, Auckland;- Norms* Prank Fumes?, Grey Lynn; Thos D Leedham, Auckland; Chas. H urlu:' combe, Parnell. KMU * At the same time Robert Grieve nr«sented himself to be examined as to competency as an inspector of nuisances and the result is a certificate of compe-' tency endorsed by the institute.
