A return representative Rugby football match between Wanganul and Taranaki was played to-day in beautiful weather. There were about 3000 spectators present. Wanganui included'three emergencies, and the Taranaki team was as selected, with the exception that at fullback C. Sheahan replaced Ryan.
In the lirst spell Taranaki played with the wind, but facing a stronger sun. They had a decided advantage, getting 13 points before half-time, to Wanganui's three The second half was more even. Wangauiil nearly scored on several occasions, but there was no further snore until on call of time Brown got over for Taranaki. •For Taranaki Stohr secured two tries, and Prince and Bro-wn one each, Stohr converting three. Perclval crossed the line for YVanganul. The final scores were: Taranaki 18, Wanganui 3. NORTHERN UNION GAME.
