FRANTIC DWARF. . I iA, Lilliputian tragedy was narrowly averted at Berlin on Slay 0, when the dwarf, ■Euclid Jondim, carried away by an ecstacjr of adoration lor his still more diminuitivc ' ■wife, threw himself from an upstairs window into the street. He was removed oa an ambulance to hospital. Jondim, says o correspondent, is a Brazilian, aged thirty-one, and by occupation Is a show freak, being exactly three feet iv height. He met and married Martha Schwarz, from Djrnzig, aged twenty-nine, and inches high, also a show freak. The wedding took place in Chicago eight months ago. Both were on show there in the same establishment during the honeymoon, and Euclid revealed an extremely jealous disposition, which has repeatedly caused serious quarrels between the little couple. Euclid is jealous of every fully-grown man who looks at his wife, and tries to provoke quarrels with those whom he regards as his rivals. The rash deed on Tuesday ensued after another matrimonial dispute, caused by hie jealousy. Flortunately, his injuries are •not dangerous. His wife says she is determined to leave him.
