BREACHES AND BLACKMAIL.
(Received 11.6 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. In the Assembly, Mr. Perry asked for a Royal Commission to inquire into th 3 allegation that union agents go round the
country blackmailing employers by threatening prosecution. He created an uproar by saying that he would produce 50 witnesses to prove they had been blackmailed in this -way. The matter dropped. SENTENCE OF DEATH. (Received 10.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Sentence of death has 'been recorded against a coloured man found guilty of 'burglary with wounding.
