FRUIT A2CD PBODTTCE fITARTCTTPS. Business in the fruit market during: tie week has been only moderate. Potatoes.—Tie market is well 6npplied with shipments from the South, and no alteration in -value is reported; the quality and condition is excellent. There is sow a little inquiry for seed varieties.

Onions.—Prime samples are difficult to procure, and "Victorians arriving are not as good in condition as last week's lines; values for both. Southern and Victoriangrown are firm, at previous rates. Pumpkins, swedes, and carrots are meeting with ready sales, at payable prices to growers.

Vegetables.—Greenstnfe is still well competed fox at satisfactory values. Dairy Produce.—Factory butter is still flr» at last week's quotation, and all lines of farmers' butter forward meet with a ready sale at payable values. Fresh eggs are more plentiful, and prices ruling still continue satisfactory, although, at reduced rates on last week's prices. •Poultry.—The usual quantity came to hand, and was disposed of at values a trifle under last week's quotations, owing, no doubt, to the holiday intervening. Wellfinished birds sold at satisfactory rates Fruit.—Business in this line has been slightly dislocated, owing to the cold and wet weather prevailing, buyers exercising great caution in operating. in the early part of the week Sydney fruit Bold at a slight advance on last week's sales, and competition for local fruit was good. The Fiji boat arrived during the week with a cargo of cases and bunches of bananas in excess of requirements at this time of the year, and a decline in values in consequence had to be accepted. Field Produce.—Potatoes: Prime Southern, £5 10/ to £5 15/ per ton. Onions: Local, prime, 6/ to 6/6 cwt; Victorian, £5 15/ to £6 ton.

Dairy Produce.—Butter: Farmers' in prints, lid to 1/ lb. Fresh eggs, 1/3 to 1/7 dozen.

Fruit.—Apples: Local, coloured, extra 9/ to I©/ case; choice. 8/ to 8/6; £ood, 7/ to 7/6: prime cooking, 7/6 to 8/6; medium, second grade, 4/ to 5/ box. Grapes: Local, 1/6 to 1/8 lb. Pears: Dessert, 10/ to 11/ case; cooking, 7/ to 7/6. Lemons: Local, 6/ to 7/ case; Sydney. 8/ to 8/9. Oranges: Island, 5/ to 7/6 case; Poor man, 5/ to 6/. Mandarins: Best, 7/ to 9/ gin; good, 6/ to 6/6. Passion fruit: Sydney, 10/ gins, 4/6 nalfffins. Pines, 8/6 crate. Tree tomatoes, 4/ box. Guavas, 3/6 to 4/ bos. Tomatoes: Hothouse, lid to 1/ lb. Poultry.—Hens, 1/7 to 2/3 each. Table roosters: Extra heavy, 4/ each; good, 2/6 to 3/6; light, 2/ to 2/3. Ducks, 3/ to 3/6 each. Turkey gobblers: Extra neavy, up to 10/ each; light, 6/ to 7/6. Turkey hens, 5/ to 7/ each. The -wholesale quotations for butter and epga for the week ending July 1 are as follows:—Butter, factory, 1/2} per lb; eggs, 1/4 per dozen.

At the annual meeting ol Goldebrough, iMort and Co., the report stated that seasonable rains ussurred a good season, and lambing prospects were encouraged. The boaird's proposals included a further addition to shore capital, 'bringing the total increase to over £700,000, placing £75,000 additional to the reserve tfund, and devoting £10,000 to c£he employees' .provident fund.
