AUCKLAND POULTRY ASSOCIATION.
THE A'NTTOAL SHOW. The 12th annual show in connection with the Auckland Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association was opened this afternoon at Henning's Garage, Durham-street West, and will continue for three days. The exhibition was held tn conjunction with the New Zealand Wyandotte riuto, and the number of entries was no less than 600. The ■poultry classes Show a large increase on previous years, but pigeons and canaries have fallen below the average, owing to the 'fact that the society Intends to delete these birds from the catalogue in future. The principal features of the show are the Wyandotte, Leghorn, Orpington, end Game birds, and in these classes keen competition Iβ evident A good many of the exhibits come from fanciers in the South, and the association in consequence appointed a Souiiern judge (Mr. G. Jackson), •srho was put in charge of the Wyandottes and the heavy breeds. The other judges were Messrs. J. Nixon (Leghorns end Game), G. R. Hutchinson (ducks, selling classes, etfe.), and J. Prescott (iplgeons and canaries). Taking the show as a whole, the condition of the stock exhibited i 3 eminently satisfactory, and compares very favourably <with *he shows of past years.
