PONSONBY v. AUCKLAND. The Ponsonby—Auckland match resulted in a win for the former by 14 goals to G, the scores being as follows:—For Ponsonby Woollams 9, English 2, McCoskie 2, Swales 1; for Auckland, Borradaile 4, White 1, J. Watters 1. From the start Auckland appeared to have the advantage, and secured two goals iv rapid succession, but Ponsonby took the lead and notched five in a remarkably short time maintaining their advantage till the last quarter, when Auckland made a determined rally, but too late. Woollams led the attack for Ponsonby. and Borradaile and the two brothers Watters were Auckland's mainstay. The city team was, however, hampered by playing two men etoort. ■ -^~-
