WAIHI INSTALLATION.
CBy Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
WAIHI, this day. The Mayor of Waihi (Mr. J. Newth) was metalled at noon for a fourth term of office. He stated that the affaire of tne Borough were not so black as they had been painted. He intended to bring down a financial statement at the first meeting of the Borough Council, which would verify this. When he was first elected the overdraft was £26,000, now it was only £12,000. He considered the Borough could pay its debts without injuring any of its employees.
