LABOUR'S JUST CLAIMS.
"" SUPPORT FROM THE PULPIT. (Received 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Baptist Congress adopted a resolution expressing hearty sympathy with ■the workers of the Commonwealth and New Zealand in their just aims and aspirations for a fair distribution of .wealth,, greater equality of opportunity, and better conditions of living. ■ Another resolution favoured fostering international amity and goodwill, viewing with disappointment and alarm the amazing multiplication of armaments by the great Powers. Every Baptist minister in the Commonwealth and New Zealand will be asked to read the resolution from the pulpit.
