A MURDERER'S ESTATE.
LIFE INSURANCE POLICY.
(By Telegraph.—Press Aetodatton.) WELIJNGTON, this day, W. R. Baxter, of Invercargill, who assaulted his wife and five children and committed suicide in 1&08, left his estate to his wife, who, with four of the children, died. It then devolved on Phyllis Baxter, After paying debts and mortgages the estate realised £9, but there was a life policy of £400, which was held under a marriage settlement, the terms of which cannot be found. To-day the Public Trustee made application to the Supreme 1 Court for directions, and was ordered to hold the money six months, make inquiries in England and New Zealand, and then make fresh application.
