MELBOURNE, this day.
The Federal Cabinet has decided that the gauge of the projected railway from Port Augusta to Kalgoorlie shall be 4ft B}in. To make the line uniform, alterations in large sections of South Australian antf Weetralian existing railways will be required, and the-State Governments will be asked to cooperate with''the Federal: Government in making the necessary changes. : ■ !
