CONCLUSION OF COMPETITION.

The senior cricket championship was brought to a close on Saturday, when the unfinished matches, commenced on February IS, were concluded. At Edea Park, the Universlty-Ed«n match resulted in a. three* point win for the latter team, who secured this mainly as the result of L. G. Taylor'e bowling performance, 8 wickets for 51 runs, ••which enabled his side to win by an innings On the Domain Parnell, with 43 runs to credit, and three wickets down, set out to overtake Ponsonßy's first innings score of 103 runs. This they had no difficulty In doing, for the Innings realised 204 rune. Anthony showed very much the best batting form, and his score of 92 (not out) was compiled by sound, and sometimes vigorous cricket. Snedden was by far the most enccessful Ponsonby bowler. EDEN v. UNIVERSITY.

This match, which ceuld not be concluded lv its proper turn owing to bad weather, was concluded. At the beginning of the day Poneonby nad a total of 103 to credit for their first innings, and Parnell had 43 runs up witt three wickets down. Parnell finished their innings, compiling 201 runs, to which total Anthony (92 not out) was by far the largest contributor.
