Though some 30 feet of quartz was- passed - through <the-cross-cut" being on an angle) the actual width of _ie reef is now estimated at 25 feet. ELACKWATE-l MINES. I The following telegram was posted' on the Exchange to-day: —"Dividend of 1/6 I per share boa been declared payable on the 29th of April. The books will be closed "from the 24th to the 2sth, inclusive." XL. (Coromandel). •Work in this property is under the charge of Mr. George Lindsay. The mine consists of 54 acres, situated at Tiki, Coromandel, heirig bounded by Mr. Endean's property (formerly Coromandel: Proprietary), and Bremner's Freehold. There are three levels on the property. In No. 3 the -winze is .being haled out to get at gold which is said to haive been left in the early days. This winze is down. 25ft. "When breaking down the reef at No. 1 level last Monday very nice picked stone came to hand from a six-inch leader. It ds intended to clean out a winze and sink it further to connect with No. 3 leveL This would give about 50ft of backs.
