TOO OLD AT FIFTY.

MELBOURNE, this day. The Federal Executive has issued a regulation reducing the retiring age of colonels to 58, lieutenant-colonels to 55, and captains to 50. Great indignation is expressed in military circles. The Minister for Defence indicates that in toe next Estimates provision will be made for an aviation corps.
