PICNICS.
The Auckland United Plumbers' annual picnic took place last Saturday at Motukorea, where a most enjoyable day was spent. Toys and lollies were distributed to all the children in attendance, and v good sports programme was carried out. with the following results: —Apprentices, under three years at trade: Menzie 1. Wark 2. Apprentices, over three years at trade: Sheehau 1, McLiver 2. Allcomers (amateurs): Deucher 3, o-rr 2. Journeymen plumbers: Fogerty 1, Killlp 2. Master plumbers: Letham and Hoffman dead heat. F. Hitchcock 3. Young ladles, under IT years: Miss Olive Clark 1, Miss Clara Thomas 2. Young ladies, over 17 years (drawn): Miss Hurd 1, Miss Goodwin 2. Plumbers' wives (drawn): Mrs. Porter 1. Mrs. P.rittnin 2, .Mrs. Pritchard 3. Committee (drawn): Hines 1, Tattersal 2, Doughty 3. The tug-of-war was won by the journeymen by default.
