The programme of the Te Aroha Bowling dub's eighth annual tournament is to.,hand. The tournament, will ; take January 2nd and 3rd, *nd indudes ._a.;,fjill r rinfc,,match and- a sttbscrigtion- pair?' match. Entries for the rink match -. Will be received by Mr. J Carlaw, XH-ty Waterworks office, Cook'street, till,, December 27, and-with the secretary, Te Arohaj till 8 p.m: on Decerniber _29th. -Entries for the pairs will be received by'the. secretary up to the conclusion of section play in the rink match. ! -

A t cablegram from Wellington (N.Z.), received last Saturday, reads as followe (saysa Sydney writer): —"The Northern Bowling Association has decided to waive its "rides'in order to allow New South Wales 'bowlers to compete at the annual ■tournament at Auckland in January." ... We have an engagement with the South Australian B.A. for that month, .'but.6o far there has not even been, a whisper about New South Welshmen , visiting the Dominion just yet awhile. When the proposal that they should do so was last before the N.S.WJ3.A. committee a few weeks ago, :the matter was left in the hands of the hon. .secretary, and it is there stiE.
