WAIT.EMAT.A CLUB'S SPORTS. Xhe Waitemata Swimming Club held their i second carnival of the season at the Albertstreet baths last night. There was a large attendance, and keen interest was displayed lv the racing. M. E. Champion's uitempt to reduce H- Healey's record o£ 12m. 41a. lor the half-mile failed, tiie Aucklauder taking 12m. 58 l-5s for the distance. The 50 yards handicap proved a most exciting | contest, there being a record entry for this event musical selections were giv»n by a string baud, and ithe novelty races caused considerable amusement.
