BOXING.
Everything is now in readiness for the meeting of Halley and Tracey at His Majesty's Theatre, this evening, and a first-class exhibition can be confidently looked for. Both men are in tip-top condition, and, although Tracey is conceding about 81bs to his opponent, lie is confident of getting the verdict. Halley is just as confident that the decision will go his way, and some interesting work should be witnessed before a verdict is arrived at.
In addition a number of amateur bouts, have been arranged, which are of more than ordinary merit, and additional interest should be occasioned-ty the appear-
ance of Coles and Treweek; of Palmerston North, the former a heavy-weight, meeting Savoury, and the latter a, featherweight, being matched with O'Meara.
