S___?oWNE__3' DEPLETION. (By Telesranh.— Pac'liamentary Reporter.) WE-JJNGTON, this day. The Hon. J. A. Millar received a deputation from the New Zealand Shipowners' Federation regarding the Harbour BilL The spokesmen were Messrs. Rennet (Wellington) and W. G. Smith and E. W. Alison (Auckland). Their representations re the constitution of the boards were- That the elections be not held ot the same day as the municipal elections; that candidatea be allowed to stand foi any portion of the electorate; and that pavers of dues on ships should have tw< representatives on the Board, instead o: one there being a preponderance o: country members, which would swami shipowners' interests. ~,___-■_ The. Hon. Mr. Millar replied that _< intended to make changes in the day o election. He proposed to allow candi I dates to stand for any part of an elec torate.
