THE FLOODS IN N.S.W.
SYDNEY, July 20. The Xepean floods are receding, but the flood in the Hawkesbury River is the highest for 10 years. A wide area of the flats round Windsor is inundated, and serious damage has been done to the standing maize'"and other crops. The water is now falling. The Chinese and other gardens round Sydney and elsewhere suffered great damage. During the storm in Sydney eight inches of rain fv.ll. At Sutton Forest ten inches fell.
