He. came to this country about 00 years ago, and has seen some stirring times,-.•• and many changes during his long life. ?For- ; many years he lived at Waiuku, but latterly he has been living at Qnehunga with his daughter, .Mrs. Constance, and has been confined to his bed owing to increasing infirmities. ' ■ - ■ .. Yesterday afternoon, while Miss Davis and some friends were driving sCt Mangere, they meb with ■an accident. The horse took fright and shied, capsizing the buggy over- some stones, and throwing, the occupants to the ground, All escaped! injury except; the baby, .18 months old, which had; its "leg brokeni. and got' a bruise : over , the eye. Dk Tresidder attended to'the little sufferer.
