DEPUTATION TO THE PREMIER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) *■. WEIiTTNSTOSr, this day. A deputation representing the New Zealand Branch of the British Medical [Association waited on the Premier today to urge upon the Government the necessity of passing a Medical Practitioners' Bill. It was urg-ed that the profession was anxious to get a satisfactory registration bill passed in accord with conditions in the Old Country and in Australia. At present it was competent for a medical practitioner ■wrh-o had been etruck off the rolls in England to come to New Zealand and practice here. The Premier said legislation on the lines which the association was submitting was desirable. Perhaps after the bill had considered by the Cabinet, alteration might :be necessary, but, generally, he would be glad to help the' measure- through.
