—«— ■ : . j A FIXE EXHIBITION. GREAT LSGHOKST DISELA.Y. 5 TILE PKIZE LIST. I Tie eleventh annual exhibition of tie < Auckland and Suburban Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Association was opened ;it the Choral Hall at 3 o'-clock this a.ii=:----1100:1 by tho Mayor (Mr L. J. Bagnall). The show is cue of tie best, ever held '_ under the auspices of the Association, and some 700 birds are being exhibited. The tendency of the utility bird to replace tit game variety is more marked than ever, but the exhibition is never theless a vtry fine one, and the nird fancier, as well as the more practical minded poultry fanner, -will be well repaid by a visit to the show, which three days, (oming to a conclusion ou Saturday. The striking feature of the present csliiKiion is the display of .Leghorns, which :» better than in any previous year. The Jforth Island Leghorn Club's * shield, cfieared for competition, drew entries from all over the country, and the coveted shield, which is awarded on points, has been caxried off by 26x E. H. Holland, of Bunnythorpe. The "Wyacdottes also make a good show. Prominent amongst the prize-takers in this class is the name of iir W. A. Hanson, who ca-rried off four cups, a special, and the cup for the best female bird, in the exhibition. The prize for the best male bird in tie show was awarded to an Indian game exhibit of Mr E. J. Copas , —the same bird winning the same event, last ytar. Mr G. W. Kiw-e was successful in securing the prize for the best duck or drake in the show—aa honour which fell to his lot at the previous exhibition. The entries in Lhe pigeon and canary classes were very good, and some fine birds are displayed. The arrangements aTe in every way satisfactory, reflecting the greatest credit ore the committee and its energetic secretary, Mr IL TattersalL Following is the prize list:— Wyandottes (judge, Mr J.
