THE FISHER GOVERNMENT.

ATTITUDE TOWARDS CAPITAL.

NO SERIOUS MISGIVINGS

LONDON, June 18. The chairman of the Australian Estates and Mortgage Company, speaking at a meeting of the company yesterday, said that though the Labour party's attitude in the past towards capital was not calculated to engender confidence, there was no need to feei serious misgivings at the present position of affairs. Events -would, he believed, entirely falsify the predictions that the new Government would violently attack capital. The Government's attitude towards immigration and defence was a happy augury that they would follow a wise and patriotic policy, and do what was best for the Commonwealth as a whole, irrespective of class considerations.
