HOCKEY.
The match. Arawa v. Albion B was won by Arawa by 3 goals to 2. For the winners Lowe scored 2-goals and Locke one; for the losers Parker scored 2 goals.
Kai Toa v. Permanent Force B.—The former won by 5 goals to 2. For the winners, Nicholls scored two, and Glover, Moore, and Willis one each; for the losers, Griffin one and Kai Toa's goalkeeper one.
lAlibon A v. Kiatere B. —Albion A won by default. Kiatere A v. Permanent Force A. —This game was played at Devonport, and resulted in a win for Kiatere by six goals to two. Kiatere had much the better of the game, their team playing with splendid combination. Tbe scorers for Kiatere were Millar (3), Durham (2), and Hicks, and, foir the Force Gerard and Pilkington.
While going home from school on Tuesday afternoon (says our Paeroa correspondent) a boy named Albert Fowles, son of Mr D. Q. Fowles, -was swinging on a fence in Oassrels-street, -when the fence fell on "top of liiin. The lifctle fellow, ■wLo is only six years of age, was pinned ■underneath, and one of his legs was broken.
