The Auckland Racing Club's Autumn Meeting opens at Ellerslie on Saturday nest, when the principal event of the gatherIng, the Easter Handicap, will be inn. After the final payment, IS remain in, and there seems ievery prospect of at least 15 going to the post. Eqnltas and Salute rank as favourites, but the issne Is fairly open, and an exceptionally good race should result. The acceptances for the remaining events are above the average, and the gathering promises to be a record one. The fiist race is timed to start at 12 noon.
