BOXING.

BinUSTS-LANG CONTEST. POSTPONED. As the result of an interview -with. Tommy Burns, who has been ill during tlie past few weeks, and unable to do I any training work, Mr. Mclntosh decided j to put the date of the Burns-Lang boxing contest for the heavy-weight championship of Australia back to April 20. It appears that Bums had, through his fondness for cucumbers, completely deranged his system, and he has consequently been more or less badly affected ever since. Any effort to get going in! his preparation always left him worse than before. Dr. Maitland has been in attendance upon the sick athlete.
