AN EXPENSIVE DOG.
SIXTY POUNDS DAMAGBSk, (By Telegraph.—Press . GISBOKKE, Thursday. The Supreme Court to-day, was occupied hearing a case, Field versus Thompson-, claiming £175 for injury alleged to have been sustained by an attack of defendant's dog oa plaintiffs daughter.- The defendant sought to show that the plaintiff's children had encouraged the dog to stay at their home, arid-had also provoked the animal considerably. Evidence was advanced showing the fierce disposition of the.dog, and the jury awarded plaintiff £(J0 damages, the defendant also being called upon to pay £ 9 medical : espenseSj and Court costs.
