SCULLING IN AUSTRALIA.
(Received 8.50 a,m.) SYDNEY this day. Pearce is willing to accept Hagney's challenge to row in New Zealand, but wants £50 expenses win or lose. Hagney is not prepared to accept these terms, and the race will probably fall through. Following New Zealand's lead, a number of leading supporters of sculling in Sydney are promoting a big handicap race, which will probably be held at the end of _pril, or the beginning of May, on the Parramatta River. THE FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENT. MELBOURNE, this day. A caucus of supporters of the State Ministry decided to vote "Yes" on the financial agreement when submitted to the Federal referendum.
