(By Telegraph.—T»ress Association.) WOMAN BURNED TO DEATH. DUNEDIN, Tuesday. A woman named Lucy Charmer, aged 73 years, residing in a three-room-ed cottage in Castle-street, set fire to herself this evening, by overturning a lighted candle. She was alone in the house at the time, and was evidently unable to find a way out. When discovered her cloth__3 were practically burned off her, and her body was in places very badly charred. She was removed to the hospital in a serious condition. DUNEDIN, this day. Mrs. Charmer, injured in the fire in Castle-street last night, died in the hospital this morning. MAORI WOMAN KILLED. WANGANUI, Tuesday. A Maori woman was killed on the Kakatahi-Parapara-road on Sunday afternoon, by falling over a cliff, dying in a few minutes. Details are meagre.
