JAMESON'S PLAN. FAVOURED BY MODERATES. CAPETOWN, February 14. Dr. Jameson's speech at Capetown has made an enormous impression, and has been favourably received by the Moderate section of the South African party. In the • -course of his remarks Dr. Jameson, said that although Mr. Merriman had complained that coalition would abolish party government he had once declared that party government had brought the Cape some of its greatest woes. Mr. Merriman was, he added, the obsequious tool, not the leader, of the Afrikander Bond.
