At Te Awamutu on Saturday ire had a full yarding of cattle, mostly 18-month old steers and calres, the latter being a very choice lot, and a credit to the district—all well bred and well done. A good demand existed for all classes, and everything -was quitted at auction. Fat heifers made £4 T/G to £5 10/; empty o&ws in forward condition, £3 1/ to £3 16/; 18 months to 2 year old steers, £3 5/ to £3 8/; 15 to 18-monthsr steers, £2 11/ to £2 15/; 15-months old heifers, £2 o/; calves, £1 6/G to £112/; 228 sold. Pigs: Slips, 15/ to £1 1/; weaners, 8/6 to 11/6. Yearling filly, medium draught, made £14. •LONDON WOOL SALES. The New Zealand I/oan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cable from London regarding the -wool sales. The wool sales closed strongly, as compared with last sales' closing rates. Prices are higher about 5 to 71 per cent for scoured crossbred, medium greasy crossbred, coarse and medium crossbred sllpe and lambs, and 7J to 10 per cent higher for coarse greasy crossbred. As compared-with last sales' closing rates, prices are about 5 per cent lower for scoured merino, greasy merino super, medium .crossbred, and greasy merino. 174,000 baleg have been sold, and 6000 bales lield over. 83,000 bales have been taken for the continent, and 12,000 bales taken for America.
