VICTORIAN SETTLEMENT POLICY.
FINDS FAVOUR. (Received 8.20 a.m.) LONDON, February 4. The "Chronicle" says the mission of Mr. Mead. Government Irrigation Expert, who is going abroad to secure settlers for Victorian lands which are suitable for irrigation, represents a complete reversal of the Australian immigration policy, and compliments Victoria upon being the most enterprising State in the Commonwealth.
