WAIUKU.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) A well attended meeting was neld in the Public Hall. Waiukn, on Friday evening, for the purpose of forming a branch of the Xew Zealand Farmers' Union. Capt. Bent 'was voted to the chair, and called upon Mr Flannagan, of Drnry, who explained the objects of the Union, and expressed the opinion that Waiuku would be one cf the strongest branches. Mr Schmitt said that In every district he had been in so far it was their desire to form branches, and particularly impressed upon his- hearers that there must be no party. Mr A. M. Barriball said the farmers would only be *tunding in their own light if they did not form a branch of the Union, and moved a resolution to that effect, which was unanimously carried. All in the hall became •members, and handed in the names of a few, bringing the total up to thirty. The following oflice bearers tvere then eiectedPresident Capt. E. A.
