STATE MEALS IN SCHOOLS.
(Received 10.10 ajn.) SYDNEY, this day. The Political Labour Conference warmly debated a proposal for the State to provide all school children with a midday mesl. Eventually an amendment was carried proposing that children requiring a meal should be provided with one by the State.
