AUSTRALIA ALL OUT, 456. WARWICK, FOUR FOR 147. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyrlgtt.) (Received 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 6. The -weather was dull, but the wicket was in good order when the match between Australia and Warwickshire was resumed to-day. Noble carried his overnight score of 104 to 131 before he was dismissed by Lilley with a smart catch. He played faultless all-round cricket, and scored his runs in 105 minutes, hitting eleven fours. The sixth wicket fell at 402, and the remainder of the side were soon disposed of. Hopkins sent up a skier off Quaife, Pridmore taking the chance—7 for 446. Carkeek lost his wicket in jumping out to hit Quaife, the eighth wicket falling at 450. Without alteration to the score. Armstrong was taken at third slip. His score of 79 was made by fine cricket, and included five fours.

Whitty rattled up six. and was then caught at second slip by Foster off Field, the innings closing at 456. RAIN AGAIN. Just as the Australian innings ended the threatened rain came on, and the opening of the home team's innings was delayed for some little time. Charlesworth and Kinneir then opened, and after the luncheon adjournment a smart return by Whitty from mid-on saw Charlesworth run out, with the total at 23. Three runs later Fishwiek. who had filled the gap. played Hopkins on, the ball cannoning into the wicket off his foot. Kinneir and Quaife carried the score to 64. and then rain caused another stoppage of 35 minutes. Thirtj'-two more runs were adcied. and then Armstrong beat Kinneir, who had batted 95 minutes, and had shown good form. Pridmore made 7. and then returned one to O'Connor, the. fourth wicket falling at 109. Lilley and Quaife played out time, stumps being drawn a little earlier than the time fixed owing to the failing light.

Quaife played a steady, resourreful game, his only faulty stroke being a sharp chance to Armstrong in the slips, off O'Connor, when 32.

The attendance yesterday was 3000, but to-day it dropped to 1000.
