A. very severe shock of.earthquake was 'experienced in-the island of-Sumatra today. A number of buildings were destroyed; by thefshtfck,<and many people were kill-: ed The earthquake was followed by a huge tidal wave, which inundated much of the ihyw-lying along the southern coast line. The death roll now stands at 330, while .many people .have been injured by falling 'buildings.
